Fungi as Biocontrol Agents with James Morris In-Person
James Morris will discuss his research on the degradative capabilities of wood rot fungi associated with eucalyptus trees and the potential use of fungi as biocontrol agents against invasive plants, decreasing or eliminating the need to use herbicides.
Morris received his Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science from Saint Mary’s College of California in 2019, and is now a graduate student in Dr. Brian Perry’s Lab at CSU East Bay. James also works as a Park Ranger at Paradise Beach Park in Tiburon, and hopes that this research will carry over to his jurisdiction as well.
