Zipper Poetry In-Person
There's a very good reason we have two eyes. Without using two slightly different angles to see what we see, our perception of depth and distance would be severely limited. That same depth in the world of literature (plays, opera, poetry) can also be achieved by a similar trick Harder calls "Zipper Poetry." He has used it successfully in the writing of opera, stage plays, and poetry--and it's a fairly simple trick. In this class participants will "zip" two original poems together to make an interesting third poem. See Dan Harder's Wikipedia page for more about "zippers" and how they work.
You're invited to play with this "zipper thing" and see where it can take you!
