First Wednesday: Behind the Bark, 50 Years of the Marine Mammal Center, with Krystal Krucik In-Person

Celebrating 50 years in 2025, the Marine Mammal Center has served as a global leader in ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, research and education, and is the world's largest hospital for marine mammals. They are also your neighbors, located in the Marin Headlands. Join us to hear more about the story of the Center, some of the animals rescued, and how we can take action to create a healthy ocean for marine mammals and people alike.

Krystal Krucik is the Public Programs Coordinator at The Marine Mammal Center and leads program development and implementation, including tours and behind-the-scenes experiences, virtual programs and interpretive resources in Sausalito. She is a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association of Interpretation and also volunteers with the Marine Mammal Center in animal care, bringing a breadth of knowledge of all aspects of the work we do.
