Poetry Reading with Rebecca Foust and Susan Browne In-Person
Please, join us in celebrating MPC’s final reading of the season and two of the Bay Area’s finest poets! Let’s eat, drink, and fill up on poems before breaking for the summer.
Susan Browne’s poetry appears in Ploughshares, Poetry, The Sun, and many other journals. She has published four books of poetry: Monster Mash (Four Way Books, 2025), Buddha’s Dogs (Four Way Books, 2004), Zephyr (Steel Toe Books, 2010) and Just Living (Catamaran Literary Reader, 2019). Awards include prizes from Four Way Books, the Los Angeles Poetry Festival, the Catamaran Poetry Prize and the James Dickey Poetry Prize. She received a fellowship from the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center. She lives in Northern California.
Rebecca Foust’s poems won the James Dickey and Fischer Cantor Prizes in 2024, and the New Ohio Review Prize, Pablo Neruda, James Hearst, and Poetry International prizes. Her poems appear in POETRY, Ploughshares, Southern Review, and many other journals. Rebecca’s eight books include YOU ARE LEAVING THE AMERICAN SECTOR (Backbone 2024), and ONLY (Four Way Books, 2022). A recipient of fellowships from The Frost Place, Hedgebrook, MacDowell, and Sewanee, she served as Marin County’s fifth poet laureate. Rebecca divides her time between northern California and northern Minnesota.

About the Marin Poetry Center Reading Series: A vibrant, varied selection of accomplished poets from near and far present their latest work in this lively and engaging monthly series. Doors open at 6:15. Reading begins at 6:30.
