What is the Winter Solstice?
Join us as we learn all about the shortest day of the year! Together we'll read "The Shortest Day" by Susan Cooper and make a model of our sun and earth to understand how the tilt of the earth's axis makes the seasons and fewer hours of daylight in winter. We'll also make our very own beeswax candles to take home and lighten the darkest night of the year. Grades K-2. Registration required.
